MICRO- & NANOFLUIDIC INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY

Our research focuses on the development of miniaturized bioanalytical and energy conversion platforms employing experimental, theoretical and simulation tools. Specific projects that are currently being pursued in our laboratory include the development of (1) sensitive molecular assays (2) separation methods based on a combination of electrokinetic and pressure-driven flows (3) evaporation-driven electrokinetic energy conversion devices (4) sensitive airborne pathogen quantitation methods and (5) mathematical frameworks for describing solute dispersion in separation systems.
The Dutta research group would like to graciously thank the following organizations for research funding.
